Abstract :
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of cognitive rehabilitation intervention on different levels of attention and memory components in office workers in Shiraz city. The method was full experimental and pre-test and post-test design with control group. The statistical population of the study consisted of employees of three departments of Shiraz in 1401, Thirty employees who had a favorable score in the mental and cognitive health interview were selected through random cluster sampling and randomly assigned to the research groups. Rescue Cognitive Rehabilitation Protocol (2017) was used to perform the interventions and to collect data from continuous performance tests (Lezak, 1995), Stroop (updated by Davidson et al., 2003), divided attention (Cina institute, 2011), N-BACK (Kerkner, 1958) and Wechsler memory adult (Wechsler, 1981) were used and reliability indicated their suitability. The MANOVA test was used to analyze the data and Findings showed that cognitive rehabilitation treatment had a significant effect on increasing levels of sustained attention and selective attention but did not have a significant effect on divided attention. It also had a significant effect on all three components of memory (verbal, visual and active). According to the research findings, cognitive rehabilitation can be used as a desirable method to increase cognitive functions of attention and memory.
