چکیده مقاله :
یکی از مباحث مهم و مطرح در گستره معضل اخلاقی، تعارض ها یی است که گاهی میان تکالیف اخلاقی مشاهده می‌شود. در این مقاله علاوه بر بررسی جنبهها و ابعاد نظام اخلاقی دیوید راس فیلسوف شهود گرا، به تحلیل و نقد نظریه او نیز پرداخته می‌شود بنا بر معرفت شناسی نظام اخلاقی راس، هم برای رسیدن به اصول اخلاقی که وظایف در نگاه نخست نامیده میشوند و هم برای داوری اخلاقی موجه در شرایط معین که وظایف واقعی را مشخص میکند، تنها شهود است که کارگشاست؛ این عصارهی تعلیمات راس است که محل انتقادات ریز و درشت فراوان و نیز تبعیتها و تحسینهای کثیر واقع گردیده است. شهرت عمده این فیلسوف برجسته در قلمرو فلسفه اخلاق، به دليل تعلق او به مکتب شهودگرایی است. منظور راس از شهود، منبع معرفتی است که ادراکی و غیر استنتاجی بوده و ذهن از طریق چیدن مقدمات به نتیجه نمی‌رسد. نقدهای جدی ای چون شهودهای اخلاقی بسیار متفاوت انسانها و اختلاف نظرهای شدید دربارهی اصول اخلاقی، شهودگرایان متاخر را به سمت تربیت اخلاق محور و نیز عقلانیت کشانده است. از نظر بسیاری اعتقاد به وجود وظایف در نگاه نخست عام از مهمترین ممیزات نظام اخلاقی راس است که البته مانند هر نظریهی جدی دیگر نقدهای بسیاری نیز بر آن وارد آمده است. دیدگاه راس به‌دلیل نقص در تبیین سلسله وظایف و غیرمنطقی بودن ترتیب آن و عدم ارائه معیاری فراگیر برای ترجیح افعال متزاحم، در واقع راه‌حل مناسبی برای حلّ این مسئله نیست
