Abstract :
Polyethylene film is one of the most in-demand polymer products worldwide. According to statistics, more than half of the world’s polyethylene production is designated for film grade. Polyethylene films are used across various industries, including packaging, agriculture, and construction, underscoring the importance of research and development in designing and producing various grades of polyethylene films in sync with the latest global technologies. Today, different types of packaging films are used, each with specific functionalities in different industrial sectors. One well-known type of packaging, widely used in industries due to its high transparency and elasticity, is stretch film. Linear low-density polyethylene is a category of polymer product used in the production of stretch films. Polyethylene stretch films are primarily used in the transport and packaging sectors. The rapid growth of the e-commerce sector, the increasing global population, and changing consumer preferences are significant drivers behind the growth rate of this product’s production globally. Field research in the domestic market also indicates that producers, despite using the available film grades in the market, face challenges in producing this product. This article aims to analyze both the global and domestic markets for this product and explore the opportunities and challenges present in the polyethylene stretch films market.
