Investigating the role of entrepreneurial skills in the growth of small and medium businesses

Abstract :
Entrepreneurship, the creation and development of small and medium-sized businesses as the driving force of economic and social growth and development, play a key role in the process of sustainable development. Accordingly, the present study was conducted to investigate the role of entrepreneurial skills in the growth of SMEs. The present research is based on the purpose, applied and based on the research design, descriptive and survey method. The statistical population of the study includes managers and owners of small and medium businesses operating in Khorramabad (N = 1271). Using Cochran's formula, 295 businesses were studied by simple random sampling. After distributing and collecting the questionnaires, structural equation modeling of AMOS software was used to analyze the data. Findings indicate that 38% of the variance of the dependent variable is explained by skills (finance, leadership, return on investment, creative and critical thinking, networking and communication and team building(. .
