با بیشتر شدن فعاليت‌هاي صنعتي و تخليه فاضلاب‌هاي تصفيه نشده که شامل آلاینده‌های محیط زیستی مختلف هستند به محيط‌هاي آبي، مشكلاتي مانند كاهش قابليت نفوذ نور، به وجود آمدن شرايط بي‌هوازي و عوارضی همچون آلرژي و سرطان برای انسان و سایر موجودات زنده ایجاد می‌شود. روش جذب سطحي به عنوان يكي از اثرگذارترین و کارآمدترین روش‌ها در حذف آلاینده‌های محیط زیستی مطرح است و در بین روشهای رایج برای تصفیه فاضلاب، کاربرد جاذبهای طبیعی نسبت به روشهای دیگر کارایی بیشتری داشته و از نظر اقتصادی نیز مناسب‌تر است. از آن جایی که جاذبهای طبیعی به وفور در طبیعت وجود دارند و دارای قیمت بسیار ناچیز و حتی در بعضی از موارد بدون هزینه هستند. جذب آلاینده به وسیله این مواد، می‌تواند روشی مناسب به منظور حذف مواد سمی از آب‌های آلوده و پساب‌های صنعتی باشد. در این مقاله، به بررسی عملکرد تعدادی از جاذبهای زیستی به منظور حذف آلاینده‌ها از فاضلاب‌های صنعتی و پساب‌ها پرداخته می شود.
With increasing industrial activities and discharging untreated wastewater which contains various environmental pollutants to aquatic environments, problems such as reducing the penetration of light, anaerobic conditions and complications such as allergies and cancer for humans and other living organisms will occur. Surface absorption is one of the most effective and efficient methods for the removal of environmental pollutants and among the common methods for treatment of wastewater, applying natural adsorbents are more efficient than the other methods and is more economic. Since there are many natural adsorbents in nature, they are very inexpensive, they are even free in some cases; adsorption of contaminants by these materials can be a suitable way to remove the toxic substances of contaminated water and industrial wastewater. In this paper, we study some of bioactive adsorbents in order to remove contamination from industrial wastewater.
